Transition Bikes reveals a new trail bike for spring of 2011 called the Bandit. It comes with 130mm of rear travel, 68 degree head angle and a 74 degree seat angle. The Bandit’s geometry aims for a more upright riding position and comes in four sizes.
With 16.9″ chainstays, the Bandit runs with a 140mm Fox RP23 shock and uses Transition’s usual suspension system, the low single pivot linkage.
The Bandit’s design is slightly regressive with a firm top but is easy to handle for cornering, descents and climbs with its custom hydroformed tubeset that features a tapered headtube and 135mm x 10mm dropouts.
MSRP for the 2011 Transition Bandit is $1549 for the frame and shock.
