Sunn relaunches its downhill race bike Radical for 2011 with 200mm of travel. Keeping its rocker link/connecting rod concept, the Radical now comes with a steel rear triangle, making the most of the compression and performance the modified frame offers.
The 2011 Radical now has a tapered headtube of 1 1/8″-1 1/2″ for added strength to the aluminum front end. For more options on the rear suspensions, there’s also a new extension on the steel rear. As for plushness, the force of impact will not affect the speed due to the elastic quality of steel. This allows Sunn to create thinner tube sections that handles well as a whole and gives better traction while keeping in line with the aluminum weight.
The 2011 Sunn Radical comes in 3 models, the Radical S1, S2 and the Radical Finest. They are spec’d with Rock Shox forks, Truvativ cranks, Formula brakes, Hutchinson tires and SRAM components.
