The Dakota D29 Team gets upgraded for 2011 by Jamis Bicycles. Still with a high modulus carbon fiber frame, the 2011 Dakota D29 Team features a tapered headtube of 1.5-1 1/8″, SST tubing and a steep geometry. For bigger ankle clearance, it has a BB30 bottom bracket and asymmetrical chainstays. To shave off weight, there are alloy inserts for the BB, headset and replaceable a derailleur hanger.
The 29er uses a Fox 32 F29-RLC fork with lockout and adjustable air pressure with low speed compression. It has a Gen 2 F.I.T. damper and tapered alloy steerer as well. The 100mm travel bike has carbon disc mounts and SRAM X0 components.
Ritchey finishing kit and Avid hydraulic brakes match the American Classic tubeless wheels and GEAX Barro Race tires. It weighs 22.75lb and comes in four sizes that can fit 5’1″ to 6’1″ riders. MSRP is $4600.
