Made for the daring freeride mountain biker, the Red Fire wheels stays true to Fulcrum‘s principle of maintaining the lightness of the bike for downhill rides. It has an anodized red rim designed to take on tubeless tires. Strength is not overlooked with the Red Fire, as it has a thru-axle for the rear wheel.

The Red Fire uses an Ultra-Fit tubeless system to keep its tires in perfect fit. Also, the rim is milled to save weight. For improved spoke balance, asymmetrical drilling was used to allow a space for the sprocket set and disc brake.

The thru-axle can fit 12mm and 20mm. Approximate weight for the front wheel is 993 grams and 1207 grams for the rear.

The 2011 Triad Ex is one of Blue Competition Cycles’ offerings for traithlon, together with the Triad SP and SL. The EX has a frame made from Aerus Conquest T800 and T1000 high modulus carbon fiber matched with Aerus Conquest C4TT aero fork. With a 76° and 80° Aerus Conquest 2 position seatpost, you can ride quite steep with the Triad EX. It also features an integrated 1″ Cane Creek S2.

The 2011 Blue Triad EX also features internal cable routing, alloy housing stops and a curved chainstay in the Power-Arc design with Tektro R725 brakes. It uses a BB30 bottom bracket shell. There are four kits for the Triad EX namely the SRAM Red ($6700), Shimano Dura Ace ($6800) and Ultegra ($4500).

The Triad EX comes in fice sizes of XS, S, M, ML and L. MSRP is $2500.

The Ecodrive Concept Bike is the brainchild of designer Juil Kim, which incorporates signal lights on a bicycle. The bike was entered in the 2010 Seoul Cycle Design Competition and stood out because of its ability to signal when turning. Currently when you are out riding a bicycle, you are advised to use hand signal when making turns to the left or right. However, this requires you to let go of your handlebars.

In order to avoid such situation, the concept of mounting signal lamps on a bike came about. A battery installed inside the aluminum frame of the bicycle does the trick. It provides power to the mounted signal lamps that can be controlled from the handlebar. The Ecodrive Concept Bike also has a smartphone mount wherein you can measure and track your ride through GPS.

The Beast M55 Luxury E-Bike

The Beast is not your normal E-Bike. Created by M55 Bikes, it is the first luxury E-Bike to hit the market.

Reaching speeds of 40 miles per hour, The Beast can go 75 miles on one single charge. The e-bikes technology and materials are the same used on Formula One race cars. Plus, the designs that M55 applied to its components give it that luxury feel.

The Beast also uses an EB-PC electronic motor, which can be adjusted for electronic assist riding.

M55 is taking pre-orders on it luxury e-bike, but the price is unknown for now.

2011 Rocky Mountain Element

A part of Rocky Mountain‘s pride is displayed through its 2011 Element. A full carbon fiber XC race bike, the Element gets redefined for speed, stiffness and overall dynamic performance. The frame is flexible by changing its shock from the RSL or Race Super Light (98mm rear travel) to the MSL or Marathon Super Light (120mm rear travel).

The element features linear and a rising suspension rate for its rear shock to give no pedal feedback and chain growth. It has a tapered headtube, optimized tube forming design and a 3D smooth link rear suspension. There’s also a sag indicator machined in and unsupported seat mast. It uses an e-type derailleur from Shimano with BB92 for improved pedal power.

There are angular contact bearings to shave off weight and increase lateral stiffness at the swingarm. Fine-tuned to get the best race bike, it can possibly be for XC.
