Blue Competition Cycles designed a triathlon bike for triathletes who prefer a different riding position other than that of a low and aggressive one, common on bars with arm rests. The Blue Triad SP is that triathlon bike that allows you to still go fast even with a tall front end to achieve a higher rise on the bars. It remains stiff, stable and comfortable, which makes it a reliable choice for some.
The Triad SP is spec’d with quality parts and components but keeps in check the price tag to remain under $3000. It has a frame out of Aerus Conquest T700 high-modulus carbon fiber with an aero fork and alloy steerer. It features a 2 position seatpost, 76 and 80 degrees.
Blue mixed in SRAM rear derailleur and shifters together with a Shimano cassette and chain. The Triad SP also uses FSA crankset and a front derailleur. Integrated headset, internal cable routing and Power Arc curved chainstays are present in the triathlon bike to keep resistance low.
The Blue Triad SP has Tektro brakes and a BB30 bottom bracket shell. MSRP is $2700.
