BH (Beistegui Hermanos) Bikes remains a leader in the cyclocross category with its 2011 RX1. One of the new features that makes the RX1 special is the use of the T500 high-modulus monocoque carbon fiber in its frame. The BH RX1 also has a 1.5″ tapered fork, oversized fork legs and a BB30 bottom bracket shell. All of these parts and components equate to a lighter road bike, only 17.2 lbs.
A new internal top tube cable routing is in place to maximize the shape of the top tube, making it great for shouldering. There’s a BB30 60mm and the BH RX1 is available in four sizes—52, 54, 56 and 57. It weighs 18.3 lbs when spec’d with Shimano Ultegra components.
Tested for cyclocross racing, the BH Bike RX1 has an MSRP of $2150 for the frameset with headset and 31.6 FSA SLK carbon. The complete bike with SRAM Rival components has an MSRP of $2999.
