The production was supposed to be limited only to Yeti‘s employees but soon the demand for the 2011 ARC-X was overpowering. Made from 7005 aluminum alloy, hydroformed tubes, the ARC-X is a ‘cross bike that’s responsive and comfortable through mud trails and rough terrain.
TIG welded for a lightweight bike, the ARC-X has contoured seatstays and chainstays with a shoulder mount incorporated on the top tube. The slight curve makes it easy for shouldering as it’s the goal of its “full loop” design. It features a 68mm bottom bracket shell with 113mm spindle.
Yeti equips the ARC-X with SRAM Apex components that allows only cantilever brakes. It has a 27.3mm seatpost and can fit 700x40c tires. Front derailleur has a 31.8mm bottom pull and the rear wheel has a 130mm spacing with a standard 10mm QR axle. It’s colored turquoise with black and white decals.
