A part of Rocky Mountain‘s pride is displayed through its 2011 Element. A full carbon fiber XC race bike, the Element gets redefined for speed, stiffness and overall dynamic performance. The frame is flexible by changing its shock from the RSL or Race Super Light (98mm rear travel) to the MSL or Marathon Super Light (120mm rear travel).

The element features linear and a rising suspension rate for its rear shock to give no pedal feedback and chain growth. It has a tapered headtube, optimized tube forming design and a 3D smooth link rear suspension. There’s also a sag indicator machined in and unsupported seat mast. It uses an e-type derailleur from Shimano with BB92 for improved pedal power.

There are angular contact bearings to shave off weight and increase lateral stiffness at the swingarm. Fine-tuned to get the best race bike, it can possibly be for XC.
