Kona’s first complete carbon fiber hardtail cross-country mountain bike, the Kona Kula Watt MTB, is finally here for 2011. Weighing in at 1090g for an 18-inch Kona carbon frame, the bike’s geometry continues Kona’s legacy.
Kona’s Kula Watt is equipped with Easton EA70 products from the front and rear hubs to its spokes and rims. It also has a light and compact FSA BB30 bottom bracket. For better tires, the Maxxis Aspen 26×2.1 Kevlar was employed. Dominating the drive train is SRAM—all for a better look and ride.
Kula Watt comes in Carbon/Silver paint colors and in 4 available sizes. It’s price: $4,800.
