Chromag releases its latest frame for 2011, the Aperture. Due in March, the Aperture is a mid-weight frame that is ideal for all-mountain and XC riding. Lightweight at 5.65 lbs, the frame uses Sanko chromo tubing that’s custom made to match the CNC dropouts, polished stainless steel ISCG tabs and headtube badge.
The Aperture’s geometry follows that of Chromag’s Samurai frame, which is optimized for 120-140mm forks. It has a headset size of 1.125 inches and a seatpost size of 27.2mm. Bottom bracket height is at 12.25 inches and a BB shell of 68mm. The chainstay length is 16.5 inches while 4.5-inch headtube can give a 68 degree head angle with 71 degree seat tube angle for 125mm travel fork.
Retail price is £475 and the frame can now be pre-ordered. The 2011 Chromag Aperture will be available in sizes of S, M, L and XL and in colors of blue, red and white.
