Trek now gives us a fresh eco-friendly concept. Trek presents their Eco-Designed bikes in its birth, life, and afterlife stages, which are the Trek Belleville, Belleville WSD, Atwood and Atwood WSD.

Designed from front to back, the Belleville and Belleville WSD is said to reduce environmental impact. Its made from steel front and rear racks. A generator lights was used on the two models to avoid wasteful batteries and its tires are from regrind and sustainable harvest rubber.

Also featured on the Belleville and Belleville WSD is a Chromoly steel city design, which uses a fork of high tensile steel with rack mounts. With a Shimano Nexus 3-speed rear hub, dynamo front hub, alloy 36-hole rims for its wheelset, Bontrager Nebula Eco Design and steel designs for the seat post, handlebars and stem, the bikes are well built the city commuter.

The 29er Lite Wheel is Cole Wheels’ first venture in the 29-inch arena. The company started in 2004 and is well known for its patented Dynamic Spoke Alignment system, which is featured on the 29er Lite.

Made to meet the needs of all mountain, XC, trail and endurance racing, the 29er Lite features Cole Aries DSA M15 XC front hub, Shimano Center-Lock system and an M15 hub internal axle. Together with the forged hub shells and Swiss steel spokes, it promises better alignment and acceleration.

Lateral stiffness is maintained and reinforced by Cole Alloy DH clincher type aluminum (black anodized) rim that also supports a tubeless conversion. The 29er Lite has double threaded and double butted spokes on its 23.5mm profile, too.

The King3 RS from De Rosa Bicycles uses a new carbon fabric composition and comes in two versions for 2011. It has 50% more high modular tubing with an additional 10% T-700SC material. The 46T HS40 carbon pre-Preg makes it 40% stronger than the previous model.

The first version has a monocoque base while the second version, RS Custom, has a central BB30, oversized 1 1/8-1 1/2 steering and was built with the use of a laying technique to increase rigidity and absorb vibration better.

The King 3 RS is used by the Fly V Racing Team in Australia. It features Campagnolo Dura-Ace shifters and braking system, Look Keo pedals and Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR wheels with Vittoria Corsa Evo tires. It also makes use of Fizik Antares saddle and has a bottle cages by Elite.

Gary Fisher now features a model of his 29er hardtail collection along with Trek’s support in 2011. They call it the 2011 Trek Gary Fisher “Paragon” Hardtail, which featurs the Pro Aluminum 29er frame (6066 buttered & hydroformed), E2 head tube, a press-fit BB, G2 29” in geometry.

Paragon comes in 5 sizes you can choose from. An offset crown of 51mm, 100mm travel, and custom geometry with a Fox F100 RL 29 E2 steerer forms the front suspension of the model. Bontrager completes most of the wheelset on the mtb, from the FCC front hub to the Mustang Disc 29 32/28- hole rims and tires of 29-2, 29×2.1”, and a Shimano for its rear hub.

Other components also from Bontrager are the saddle, seat post, handlebars and stem. The hydraulic brakeset is out of Avid Bixir 5, 6 bolt: G3 185mm front and 160mm rear motors.
