2011 Wilier Gran Turismo
Wilier introduces the new 2011 Gran Turismo for the sole purpose of delivering to the riding public stiffness in an efficient high quality performance road race frame—which gives room for comfort and maneuverability over far and long rides. Wilier promises performance with comfort and lateral stiffness with vertical stability, never leaving sportiveness and style for granted.
The Gran Turismo adapts the asymmetric seat stay of the top rated Cento I and is equipped with what Wilier describes as a ‘Razor Edge design’ up front, which could be elaborately seen as a series of sharp edges on its main frame and semi-aero fork. Inside the frame runs the cables, which are easy to thread. Wilier and FSA collaborated in installing the seamless bolt-ons of the frame and FSA provided the finishing kit.
The Gran Turismo features a unified top, head and downtube that sets the bike to a stable instantaneous acceleration, while remaining smooth at maximum speed. The main frame is of uniquely engineered carbon tubes.
The 2011 Wilier Gran Turismo is equipped either with Athena components or Chorus, and comes in six sizes with three finishes red/white, red/blue and carbon. The frame weighs 1150gm, while the fork comes in at 360gm.
