Stevens Bikes from Germany unfolds the Ventoux road race bike for 2011. It was designed based on surveys and tests conducted in Europe with feedback from cycling enthusiasts. Weighing 965g, the Ventoux has a carbon UD HMF monocoque hybrid superlite frame and a full carbon SL UD 1 1/8″-1 1/2″ fork. It also gives an option for electronic Dura Ace components.
Vince Caceres from Stevens Bikes Canada adds that it’s a “stiff long-distance comfort bike”. With a Ritchey carbon seat post and pressfit bottom bracket, the Ventoux is not only comfortable, it is also very stiff. It also features FSA integrated 42 headset with carbon cap.
The 2011 Stevens Ventoux comes in 7 sizes and in colors of carbon red and white. The Di2 model comes in white with embedded wiring. It retails at $2500.
