Support Lance Armstrong Site
With the controversial investigation on Floyd Landis’ allegations, anonymous people created a website which calls for support for the cancer survivor Lance Armstrong. The website is a venue where fans of the seven-time Tour de France champion can leave messages of support for Armstrong.
The Support for Lance site asks only for you to post its site badge online or on your own website to gather more support. No monetary support is required. You also have the option to leave messages of support for Armstrong to read.
As per the website, “We aren’t looking for money, and Lance has no involvement in this website. His guilt or innocence is not what is being addressed here. We’re appealing to the millions of Lance Armstrong fans all over the world – it’s time that this international hero gets some support when he needs it most!”

Lance is the reason I started cycling in 2000. I had a sister (SONIA) who died of breast cancer in 2006, so every ride I do is dedicated to her and my cycling hero….”LANCE ARMSTRONG”.
Lance is the reason why so many diagnosed with cancer are survivors…..NOT VICTIMS! Not any other athlete in the world has been tested like he has….not any other celebrity in the world has dedicated their lives to fight cancer globally like he has! Lance has nothing to prove..I hope I’m half the human he is everytime I ride my bike for a cause!
As with most sites on the web, they attract true followers and the bottom feeders. Unfortunately lancesupport.org started out as a way to give Lance a boost by sending him messages of support – it has been hijacked and many of the comments being submitted are bogus. It would be great if true Lance supporters would blitz the site with genuine remarks.
Lance has been a very special person in my life. Four years ago I was in the hospital with Stephens-Johnson Syndrome, a severe drug reaction that burns the skin and interior of the body. I was in the hospital approximately a 11/2 months, including time on life support due to heart failure. The doctors told my family that I was not expected to survive. Though I was able to somehow live through it my body mechanics were shot. I had to be taught to walk again. To this day, I still cannot jog. My legs have forgotten how. Even though running was important to me, in my previous profession I rode bike patrol and had loved riding my mtn bike when I lived in Colorado. If it weren’t for Lance, I don’t believe I would have ever considered going back to my riding. He has been a great inspiration to me through all of this, as I now prepare to start riding again soon. Also during this time, I lost an aunt to cancer. It was a heart wrenching experience that, without Lance’s foundation and theur learning materials, I’m sur I would have been lost with my own illness and trying to give my aunt some of the support she needed. I am so thankful to Lance and his foundation and in turn give him and give my full support. Thank you Lance
