2011 Yeti ASR7 25th Anniversary

2011 yeti asr7 300x225   2011 Yeti ASR7 25th AnniversaryFor its 25th anniversary, Yeti shows off the 2011 ASR7 together with the 575 model. The ASR7 has 178mm travel and weighs 7.5lbs. It’s built to allow you to go higher on climbs and more when you go downhill. It comes in four sizes from small, medium, large and extra large. It is available in three colors of turquoise, black ano, white and highlights Titanium hardware.

The Yeti ASR7 features Fox RP23 rear shock, 73mm BB shell and 30.9mm diameter seatpost. The frame is made from customized 7005 alloy hydroformed tubes and has custom 135x12mm thru axle rear. It also has a tapered headtube 1 1/8-1 1/2 and custom front derailleur mount for e-type derailleur. There are ISCG 05 mounts an dog bone link.

The 2011 Yeti ASR70 has custom bolt on cable guides and cablestop. It has 160-200mm rotor and replaceable derailleur hanger for best cross-country riding.

Evil Bikes is quite new in the dirt jump/4X/dual slalom industry but made waves upon the release of its model Revolt. Due to be available in early 2011, Evil Bikes comes out with the Evil Order Hardtail.

The new frame is made from aluminum and features a custom formed tubeset with Fox 831 fork. The design was inspired from the Evil Faction model frame but was modified to fit the Order geometry. It has tapered semi integrated headset and gravity stem. It also had adjustable dropouts.

With clean lines, the 2011 Evil Order Hardtail has a Saint derailleur, brakes and shifters. It comes in three colors, while the only confirmed color is black.

One of the three new full suspension bikes from Devinci, the 2011 Dexter comes in 110mm travel that’s built to perform aggressively yet keep you comfortable in XC riding. It features Dave Weagle’s Split Pivot suspension and axis technology which combines Devinci intelligence with the new suspension system to give excellent performance.

The Dexter frame is made from Optimum G4 tube technology. It is a blend of 6066-T6 aluminum, which was triple butted an has hydroformed tubes. The frame has a tapered CNC-machined headtube and a Fox F-32 RLC Fit 100mm with lockout fork. Spec’d ith SRAM X.0 drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes, it also features Maxxis Larsen TT tires and Easton Haven Carbon rims.

A trail bike prototype with Split Pivot technology was released by Morewood for 2011. The Split Pivot Bike was built around the newly patented Split Pivot Suspension system by Dave Weagle. The prototype features a lower bottom bracket and a 67.5 degree head angle. It has post mounted rear disc mounts to make the brake caliper bolt onto the frame directly.

It has a 142mm x 12mm rear end and easy to replace hangers. It gives you a similar make with its front wheel dropouts. The 2011 Morewood Split Pivot Bike has a tapered headtube to make it more compatible with a wider range of parts. It also showcases new damper designs. It promises to be simple to adjust and tune in to your riding preference.

For 2011, Morewood made some changes with its Makulu downhill bike. The modifications were based on pertinent feedback over the past two years like that from the World Cup team in 2009 and 2010. Coming out as one of the leading DH bikes in the market, the 2011 Morewood Makulu now comes in three sizes, small, medium and large.

The modified Makulu now has low leverage linkage which makes it more progressive. Added benefit would be making it more compatible with different brands of new components and parts in the market like Fox DHX and Cane Creek Double Barrel. It also has a 15x12mm rear axle.

The frame underwent some aesthetic changes. Instead of the curved top tube, a straight tube replaced it. This gives extra stiffness around the front triangles. The 2011 Morewood Makulu also features an 83mm bottom bracket an an ISCG-05 chain mount.

For 2011, Devinci reveals the Wilson Downhill Bike. Like other models in the 2011 line, the Devinci Wilson features the Split Pivot Suspension system. The Split Pivot rear gives active braking and lateral rigid suspension. Rocker linkage is found under the bottom bracket. Having the Split Pivot rear feeds the shock absorber correct leverage rates. This will in turn help your speed.

The 2011 Devinci Wilson has a 3.5″ stroke shock and a 216mm travel with end travel privilege. This gives you a bottomless feel with its ratio ramp. Everything comes together in a balance with its frame which is square edged. Bump compliance and pedaling power also have improved.

The 2011 Devinci Wilson is one of the three platforms Devinci has for 2011 on making the move away from FSR-style suspension.
