Whyte will have its 146 full-suspension bike available in October. The 146 is based on Whyte’s E-120 frame but it has a 146mm travel with a lighter frame. The Whyte 146 will have two models, the 146 S and the 146 Works.
The frame is a new monocoque design with tapered headtube. The 146 features press-fit 30mm bearings and ISCG mounts. It uses Shimano 142mm E-Thru axle system and the frame has 3 hose guides for fitting. Other features include disc brakes and removable dropouts. The rear disc hose and derailleur cables are stealthily routed under the downtube and are kept in place by Rivet Nut Style clamps.
The 146 also has the Quad-Link suspension design. Additional highlights are three socket head cap screws and alloy trunion nuts. The 146 S will have Fox Float 150 RL Fit fork, SRAM X-9/X.0 groupset and RockShox Reverb seatpost. The 146 Works will have Easton EZ90 wheels, SRAM XX groupset, QR15 axle, Fox Float 150 RCL Fit fork and same RockShox Reverb seatpost.
