2011 Trek Lexa Womens Road Bikes
Trek has slowly released the new 2011 Lexa Womens road bikes to select retailers. Apart of the 2011 Trek Lexa road bikes is the Lexa, Lexa S, Lexa SL, and Lexa SLX. All are aimed to retail at affordable prices.
The 2011 Lexa frame and fork is made of aluminum, comes with 8 speeds, and a compact drivetrain. MSRP is $689.99.
Trek Lexa S utilizes a carbon fork, 9 speed drivetrain, and retails for $899.99. The Lexa SL is available in a triple or compact drivetrain (9 speed Tiagra), and carbon fork. MSRP is $1,099.99.
Lastly, and top of the line is the 2011 Trek SLX. Using a 10 speed shifter, and hydro formed frame. Retail is $1,319.99.

Is this competing in the same segment as the Dolce – or did the Dolce get dropped as a model?
The guy at our bike shop said they’re very comparable. I am looking at a lexa s but test rode both.
personally, between the Lexa SLX and the Dolce elite compact, i definitely preferred the Lexa. the 105 components are much smoother than the new SRAM apex offered in by the specialized dolce elite. Don’t get me wrong, i love the specialized geometry, but the ride on the lexa slx is so smooth. In the end, i bought the lexa. It is incredibly smooth and this bike flies!
I just bought the Lexa SLX compact a few days ago and I love it. The 105 components make it a smooth ride.
I am an over 50s male and of all the hundreds of bikes in the bike shop I decided I wanted a Lexa SL. I am new to cycling and the lower gears are more important to me at the moment. All the other road bikes seem to come with 18 gears instead of the 27 on the Lexa. Stupid of TREK to put a sticker on the frame which says Designed for women because it could put other male buyers off. Another guy was looking at them while I was looking at them. It certainly looks the part and has all the necessary add ons to add a rear rack. When I stopped thinking I was Tiger Woods I started using womens clubs, they are more flexible. I took 8 shots off my handicap in a season. Now I have a womans bike maybe I can become a cyclist.
