For its cross-country range, Specialized reveals the 2011 Era. The 2011 Specialized Era FSR Comp and Carbon models are updated and takes after its sister bike Safire by having a redesign specific for women riders. The frame itself is a FACT carbon with M5 aluminum alloy rear swingarm. It also features a tapered headtube and oversized BB to keep the frame light and ready to take on any race or challenges ahead.
For the rear suspension, Fox and Specialized came up with the Mini Brain shock that gives 100mm travel. It has BrainFade inertia valve, adjustable rebound and air spring. For the front, RockShox Reba RLT takes care of it with 100mm suspension. The 2011 Era uses the Specialized Future Shock E100 fork with carbon headtube 1-1/8″ to 1.5″ crown/steerer make.
The Era has two models, the Era FSR Comp and the Era FSR Comp Carbon. Both models come with DT Swiss rims, SRAM S-1250 components and Avid elixir R SL hydraulic brakes.
