2011 Kuota Bike Range
Kuota Bicycles releases its 2011 bike range which highlights a diverse line-up from road bikes to triathlon bikes. The bikes featured are the KOM, Kross, Kult, K-Factor, Kebel, Kalibur, Kharma, Kueen K and Korsa. The bikes are flexible and comes in different colors and more build options.
The KOM uses a 3k weave uni-directional carbon fiber material. It is also 9% lighter than the 2010 materials. It has a BB30 bottom bracket shell also made from carbon fiber. It has a 1 1/8″ to 1.5″ headset. It is remains stiff to ride but more comfortable than the previous model. Weighs 900g and has a price range of $5250-$8450, depending on the components used on the bike.
The Kross is Kuota’s stiff carbon crosser that has maximum mud clearance. It has a monocoque structure and 12k weave carbon fiber.
Kult has a retail price range of $4700-$8550 and a semi-integrated seatpost. It also has BB30, 22mm offset seatpost and integrated cable routing. There is also 18mm offset flip-flop style post which will be available as an after sales item.
The K-Factor Race comes with a 12k weave carbon material, dual position seatpost and a 76 to 78 degree seat tube angle. Retail price range from $2625 to $6000.
The Korsa is one of Kuota’s great value buys. It has a triple butted alloy frame, made from aluminum, headtube of 1 1/8″ and carbon fork. It has SRAM Rival kit worth $1500 and features new paint of white with AG2R inspired graphics. The Korsa is also available with SRAM Apex components. Price range for Korsa is $1575-$1725.
With 11% lighter materials than its 2010 version, the Kalibur has 1 1/8″ headtube and BB30 bottom bracket shell. It also sports new carbon fiber material and replaceable derailleur dropout. It is Shimano DI2 compatible and retails from $4600 to $8250.
The Kharma comes in new colors, BB30, 1 1/8″ headtube and 12k weave monocoque frame. It uses SRAM Apex components and for women, the frame is colored white with pink graphics. Retail is between $2500 – $4100
The flagship triathlon and TT bike from Kuota is the Kueen K. It has integrated seatmast, reversible seatpost which can give you multiple fitting options and 3k weave of carbon fiber material. The price range is $5400 – $9700.
The Kebel has a 1.1kg frame and uses 12k weave monocoque fork and seatpost. It has a new rear end and BB30. It retails from $3175 to $6925 depending on the components of the bike.
