For 2011, Kestrel Bicycles unveils the Kestrel 4000 LTD at this year’s Eurobike. There will only be 100 bicycles made of this red/white model. The Kestrel 4000 Pro will be available next spring.
The 2011 Kestrel 4000 comes with Shimano Di2 electronic shifting and weighs 19.3lbs. It has a tapered headset which is integrated 1 1/8″-1 1/4″ and 10mm carbon top cover with cable stop. It also has an integrated BB30 bottom bracket shell.
This limited edition triathlon bike is spec’d with Oval parts like the Oval TT saddle, Oval 901 Tri bar, Oval 985 front clincher and Oval 999 rear wheelset.
It uses Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX Foldable tires, carbon levers and Kestrel EVA Foam with Gel for grips. The Kestrel 4000 has a 800 K Hi-modulus carbon frame with replaceable dropouts, making this slightly stiffer than previous models.
