Bulls Bikes from Germany reveals its 2011 line up of 29ers. The new range comes in four models, the Copperhead 29er, Copperhead 29er Plus, Tirone 29er and the Team Black Adder 29er. The 29er mountain bikes are made from 3 different materials: Titanium, Carbon and Alloy.
The new 29ers will have RockShox forks with 80mm travel. The sizes available are 47cm, 52cm, and 57cm. They will feature semi integrated headsets and full-length cable housing.
Bulls collaborated with GG (Geerit Gaastra) Concepts on making the design of the bikes. The goal is to keep it affordable yet retaining high quality components and parts. Stiffer BB section and wider chainstay spacing were some features that will give you maximum tire and mud clearance to accommodate 2.25 tires. They also have Shimano type Press-Fit bottom brackets.
The Copperhead 29er Plus has a triple butted alloy frame, 1 1/8″ headtube and standard mounts. It weighs 11.5kg and retails for €1699. The Copperhead 29er is the most affordable model at €999 which also has an alloy frame, 1 1/8″ headtube and standard mounts.
The Tirone 29er has a Ti frame which weighs 1600g for medium size, 1 1/8″ headtube, standard mounts and a 27.2mm diameter seatpost. It retails for €2799.
The flagship model is the Team Black Adder 29er with a 1150g carbon frame, tapered headtube, enlarged seattube and uses the Tube to Tube technology to give have maximum lateral stiffness and vertical compliance. It uses direct mount front derailleur and 27.2mm diameter seatpost. The Team Black Adder 29er weighs a total of 10.5kg with a price tag of €2499.
The 2011 Bulls 29er bikes is currently only available in Europe.
