Fuji Golden Road Bike Debuts at Tour de France
Fuji Bikes will roll out a new Golden road bike for the 2010 Tour de France for their pro team Footon-Servetto-Fuji. Celebrating 111 years of cycling, Fuji Bikes is ready for the golden bike which was first shown for a dramatic movie short at Footon-Servetto-Fuji team presentation. After a great response and Manuel Cardoso rode at the Tour Down Under, Fuji decided to add some changes for the Tour de France.
The Fuji Golden Road Bike is nicknamed by Fuji as the “Fu-sion X”, while the brand clashed a blend of paint and metal, but avoided the traditional metallic paint flecking look. The process Fuji took was ground down the aluminum making a gleaming finish, and adds paint. While the bike is on the Fuji SST platform, the frameset is made with C-7 carbon, aero shaped RIB (Reinforced I-Beam) tubing, tapered head tube, BB-86 Press fit bottom bracket, and energy transfer chainstay. As you can assume, the Golden Bike by Fuji is limited, and small quantities will release in the United States and Europe.
