Fox releases helmets for mountain biking known as the V3R and V2. The V3R is made from carbon fiber and kevlar and almost look similar to a motorcycle helmet. It has 10 intake vents and 4 exhaust ports for superior ventilation. It’s CPSC and ASTM approved and has adjustable options for the vents.
The V3R also uses the Coolmax liner and pads which is removable and washable. The mouthpiece can also be easily detached for cleaning. The Fox V3R also makes use of the D-loop, a system designed to ensure that with a snap, the helmet is secured without the fear of it loosening. With a MSRP of $379.99, the Fox V3R comes in four sizes and in one carbon design.
At a more affordable range, the V2 helmet from Fox has an injected polycarbon-ate shell. It is DOT and Snell 2005 approved and provides quality protection with its Fox Aerocool comfort liner and cheek pads. The pads are also removable like the V3R and are washable too.
It has two air vents for letting cool air in and letting stale air out. The V2 also features an integrated roost guard and comes in sizes small to double extra large. MSRP is $199.99 $219.99.
