Focus introduces the 2010 Izalco Extreme road bike which boasts of having the perfect balance for comfort and stiffness. The Izalco underwent modifications based on feedback from Team Milram riders.
The Izalco Extreme now has a new high-modular carbon frame with internal cable routing. It features a tapered head tube, BB30 bottom bracket, 3T bars, stem, seatpost, a Fizik Arione saddle and a 3T Funda Pro tapered fork. The modified road bike uses SSPS (stable stiffness per size) which controls the increase in tube diameter when adjusted, maintaining overall stiffness of the road bike.
Other changes in the Izalco Extreme includes seat stays decreased ti a 27.2mm seat post, Elbowed Comfort rearstays which is incorporated to its design to make the seatstays comfortable together with the chainstays, and reinforced cable tunnels.
All-Shimano drivetrain minus the TRP brakes with Zipp 303/404 combination hubs and Continental Grand Prix Attack/Force tires completes the German made road bike.
