Felt recalls 2009 Road Bike models
Felt Bicycles formally announces a voluntary recall of approximately 2,100 Felt bicycles with models of B12, B16 and S32. They were sold from October 2008 through May 2010 at a price range of $2,300-$3,100.
The road bikes were manufactured by ADK Technology Limited from China. The recall was in partnership with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. This was due to seven reports that the bicycle fork steer tubes broke while in use, resulting in injury.
Although only minor injuries were suffered, Felt Bicycles requested the recall to avoid future accidents. The B12 road bikes have carbon fiber frames and forks with aluminum steer tubes. They also come in gloss silver/carbon colors.
The B16 have the same makings but comes in matte black/red. The S32 road bikes have aluminum frames and steer tubes with carbon fiber forks. They are available in colors gloss white/red.
