For 2011, Norco releases its new all mountain and light freeriding bike called the Range. The new Range will be replacing the LT 6 series line and is undoubtedly the more popular among its companions in the Norco 2011 product lineup. It has four models, namely Range SE and Range 1, 2 and 3.
The Range features the A.R.T. suspension system which is an optimized FSR system. This allows increased efficiency for pedaling by moving the pivots to place the rear wheel more to the back. It also lowers the leverage ratio and brings about better square edge bump compliance due to the rearward axle path.
The Range also has a one-piece ergonomic linkarm to make sure the rear end remains stiff as you ride through rough downhill trails. It has hydroformed, butted mainframe tubing and a tapered headtube. It makes use of the Syntace x-12 142x12mmaxle system and ISCG 05 mount for chain guides.
It comes in five frame sizes from XS to XL and two top models with anodized finish for lighter weight durability. Pricing for the models are $6950 ($7799 CDN) for the SE, $4580 ($5000 CDN) for Range 1, $3365 ($3650 CDN) for Range 2 and $ 2415 ($2625 CDN)for Range 3. The 2011 Norco Range will be available in October 2010.
