Are you certain the B14 is spec’d with Ultegra derailleurs, because this Felt preview brochure indicated they would be Dura Ace? http://www.meridian-cycles.com/images/Felt_Bikes_2011/Felt2011-BikePreview.pdf
Hey Joe, you are correct, we double checked and it was a error on our part. We changed it, and thank you.
I just ordered one of the B16 and i am pretty sure that it comes with the Ultegra and not the 105′s. That was on last years model and they upgraded them for 2011.
Joe,
Yes, it’s DuraAce. I already have the ’11 B14 and it is SWEET!
You guys would take a B14 over a Cervelo P2 2011?.. or perhaps the Transition Comp?
I am just curious.. I’ve this internal debate for quite some time now….
To be honest I am leaning more towards the Cervelo, b/c the hold their prices pretty well for re-sale…
I’m contemplating between the 2010 Felt B14 (maybe 2011) vs. Cervelo P2 vs. Cannondale Slice 4 (2010).
I have been racing Triathlons with my road bike and I’m looking to finally purchase my first Tri Bike. I’m just juggling and cannot decide.
Any suggestions?
Leo, I’d love to know if you’ve learned anything in your research… I’m in the exact same situation as you- considering the Felt or the Cervelo as well as I’m also finally purchasing my first tri bike. I haven’t had a chance to ride the Cervelo yet but of course have heard how great it’s supposed to be! Have you learned anything interesting I should know?
I have the Felt B16 and pasted like 10 guys on Cervelo P2′s in Augusta. Of course there were 100 people on P2′s
Really the B16 gives a lot of bang for the buck I have no regrets.
Hi,
I’m also just about to buy my 1st triathlon bike and am looking for advice on which is the better buy the Felt S22 / B16?
I was going to buy the felt b12 however I cannot find it anywhere. Tomorrow I’m going to get fit on a Cannondale Slice. I believe the two are very similiar. I’ll know tomorrow.
hello there, firts guys, you should know that for first timers buying a bike will be very hard, im a triathlon coach ,my advice its that ask for a free ride both the felt and p2 , this isnt about price , is about to buy the right bike for your body, for some of you it will be the felt and for the others the p2. if you have any cuestions or want free advice please email me anytime. my best regards for all of you. my email

Hey all, I know this is an older string, but I just picked up the B12 over the P3 after a long such debate. I rode both and have been on a P2sl for some years. Once fitted I settled into the Felt like a glove. Better components and all over value than the P3 for the money. Andrew has it right, fit is the key. get a prelim fit on both before making the buy. Good luck
I was in the same situation, trying to find my 1st tri bike, between felt B14, slice 4, P3 and transition comp. I compare them in weight, components and desing. Obiously you want the best for your money, so Yesterday i have ordered my felt b14.
I have a 2010 B14, it was wicked hard to get last year and I was lucky to track one down in June. I would have liked the dura-ace drive train and levers in the 2011, but have always felt Ultegra was a little more durable. The other big change I see is that the 2011 comes with a 52/38 up front with a 12-25 in the back. Last year’s model had a 54/ 42(?) up front, combined with the 11-22 on my disc it flies given the opportunity…it is a VERY nice ride, though it has taken awhile to dial in…
I really like Felt and will pick up a B14 this year, assuming it fits well. I can’t wait! The Cervelo is not a bad bike, either.
