Rising from its “death” the all new and redesigned R.I.P. 9 now gives you something new. With the same travel, weight and a good change in increasing its stiffness, the new Niner suspension technology still gives a smooth, efficient and active suspension travel to the 4.5” rear wheel.
While the geometry is utilized to the latest 120mm travel forks, making the R.I.P 9 a perfect all-mountain balance. Features of the Niner R.I.P 9 includes a Niner R.I.P frame with Fox RP23 rear shock, a FSA IS tapered cartridge bearing headset, a Foz 32 F29 RL FIT tapered fork that comes with a 15QR drop outs and a 120mm of travel in black and silver decals.
Also adding to its features, a Shimano XTM-771 front derailleur, Stans NoTubes ZTR Flow 29er wheelset that comes with Stans ZTR heavy duty 15mm front hub and a ZTR quick release rear hub plus a 32h Flow 29er rims. Niner has overall redefined their suspension frame and maximizing their product technologies as well as its new design.
They did not miss any detail from the head tube to the rear drop out to the taper steerer tube technology at the head tube, over 10 forged or extruded parts and the hydroformed top tube and down tube, Niner once again proved this to be their award winning suspension frame indeed.
A result of this drastic and painstaking changes is an increase in stiffness all over the frame without adding any to the weight. Niner’s R.I.P 9 is one of the best package there is.
