SIDI Ergo 2 Carbon Cycling Shoes

If you have been a cyclist for some time now, then probably the brand SIDI is already quite familiar to you already. Many motorcycle riders also use this popular brand of cycling shoes.
SIDI came up with the new premier pair called SIDI Ergo 2 Carbon Cycling shoes. The usual SIDI pair would have the tough look of the three Velcro straps along with the buckles and dials. Its overall look can really be too intimidating but if you would take a closer look at its amazing features, you would that it would be perfect to fit your pair set for the road.
You can be secured with the single Velcro strap situated right at the toe box. All the inserts of the plastic strips in red plastic comes with teeth. So when you connect each half, the teeth would hold on and would keep the strap from totally slipping off. In short, if you want cycling shoes that would really stay put, then you should go for this one.
The adjustment feature at the center of the shoe is the Techno II system. This is so easy to do without distracting your actual ride. You would simply have to push some button and it would adjust on its own tension. As you wear these shoes, you would certainly not develop any hot spot in your feet.
The cost of this one might be a little too high than the average ones in the market but it surely won’t just give you a good gift, but a good match of value and price.

I have a 2 questions regarding the Ergo 2 Carbonlite which I’ve just purchased.
Is it essential to remove the insole etc to fit the reinforcement plate? What is the reinforcement plate? It does not appear to be supplied??
The anthi-slip adhesive – does this stick on the sole of the shoe before you fit the cleat or does it stick on to the plate of the pedal?

The three screw mounts in the sole are actually three separate rectangular pieces resting in recesses. I discovered this when one of the screw mounts in my Ergo 2s gave way and I was forced to cut the insole open in order to get a grip on the plate so I could remove the screw. As far as I can tell the reinforcement plate is supposed to replace the three separate screw mounts with a single plate containing all three screw mounts – which would be perfect for my particular situation but can’t find the plate anywhere online. That’s several hundred dollars worth of shoe down the gurgler.
