The 2010 Pro Gravity Tour opened with a rainy reception in Dry Hill. The weekend event in Port Angeles, Washington was conquered by Bryn Atkinson of Transition Racing and Tracy Moseley of Trek World Racing.
The track course was narrow in some places and was fast and slick. The crowd showed their support as World Cup stars competed to win the round.
Atkinson finished with a time of 2:34:39. A minute later, Justin Leov of Trek World Racing came in second with a time of 2:35:20.
Moseley was racing against Commencal’s Rachel Atherton. Moseley won by a mere 3 seconds over her with a time of 2:50:82.
“It was great to be back racing in a US National Series! We’ve been made so welcome here in Port Angeles and the track was the perfect preparation for the World Cup season – flat out all the way! It was the first real test for me and the bike this year with a big women’s field on a proper downhill, so I was really happy to take the win ahead of Rachel,” said Moseley.
Atkinson and Moseley lead the standings for the Pro GRT. Round two will continue on at Platekill Bike Park in Roxbury, New York on May 22-23.
