The Mid-Atlantic Cyclocross Series releases their autumn programs. The MAC series begins on September 11 and will close on November 21. The entire season will bring you eleven races, eight venues and five states.
The season opener will be the Nittany Lion Cyclocross at Breinigsville, PA. It is the first UCI-sanction race in this season. The victorious riders will hold World #1 ranking for a week.
New to MAC is the Whirlybird Cyclocross. The race has been part of the PA Cyclocross Series and is held at Pennsylvania’s Bryn Thyn College grounds.
This year, Granogue and Charm City races follow Super Cross Cup in Long Island by adding a second day of racing. There will also be a full program to have all MAC classes compete on the two-day events.

Andy Potts of USA and Samantha Warriner of New Zealand won the Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans race. Potts and Warriner credited their wins to half-marathon endeavors when it really counted. The triathlon covered 1.2 mile swim, 56 miles on bike and a 13.1 mile run.
For Potts, he began with confident strokes at 23:58 swim time. He ventured into the T1 with a lead over Graham O’Grady of New Zealand. Potts was taken over by Kiwi Terenzo Bozzone on the bike but it was only temporary. Potts soon outran everyone at 1:12;40 half-marathon, making him finish first at 3:43:44.
Second place went to Bozzone and Paul Amey of United Kingdom took third place. Australia’s Chris McCormack failed to finish the race. He did not continue to see the run through and turned up ninth on the bike.

Burry Stander of Specialized and Georgia Gould of Luna were the victors at the USA Pro Mountain Bike Cross Country Tour Round Two, which took place with the Sea Otter Classic at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area in Monterey, California.
The current U23 world champion Stander bested Geoff Kabush (Team Maxxis-Rocky Mountain) who placed second and Todd Wells (Specialized) who settled for third place. However, Wells continued to remain in the lead with 255 points overall standings with Kabush not far behind at 250 points.
