Neko Mulally, 17 will be competing at round one of the Gravity East Series at Massanutten Yee Ha! Downhill in Virginia this weekend on May 1. The defending champ who comes from Reading, Pennsylvania was excited to join in the competition. “I’m stoked to do a race at home.”
For the 2010 season, the young cyclist signed for Trek World Racing and will race the full World Cup series. Mullaly shares that the Gravity East Series is his choice to make him more prepared for this season since the venue once hosted the downhill World Cup. “No other race series would prepare me better for 2010 in the World Cup.”
The Gravity East Series is now on its fourth season. Under new directions of DHD Marketing and Promotion, the Virginia opener will include a non-championship event after the practice for the race on April 30. It is coined to be a “schmo-logue”, a chance to mingle and reconnect with Gravity East participants before the kick off the next day.
There will be a Gravity East Inaugural Foot-Down Derby as well as a downhill slalom race for adults on board kindergarten bikes.
