Transition Bikes TR450 2010 Downhill Mountain Bike

Transition Bikes created a fully dedicated bike for downhill racing called the TR450. The goal is to achieve stability and speed by making adjustments on the head angle and the chainstay length. This led to a neutrality on the frame with the rider’s weight set in a balance between the front and rear wheels.
With the help of pro rider Lars Sternberg, the TR450 was carefully researched to have all the advantages needed in DH racing. The suspension holds to allow the bike for top strokes and bottom out control without a bumpy feel. This also makes room for tune ups.
The frame is made of 6000 heat treated aluminum and weighs 9.5 lbs without the rear shock. The Fox DHX RC4 Coil 9.5”x3” stroke is positioned low on the front triangle and allows travel of 8.25”. The suspension functions make sure that the shock is contained to be on the frame’s lower area to avoid tire roosts from the rear shock.
The TR450 comes in three color designs namely, red, yellow and white. It weighs 38-40 lbs and is priced at $2,399.00. For experienced riders, the bike is a gem that you can ride hard many times over and it won’t let you down.
