The PD-A600 also has a single sided cleat mechanism that is used across recent MTB pedal systems. This will allow easy entry or exit. The wide platform of the pedal was designed to facilitate better transference of power when you pedal. The aerodynamics of this would help efficient flow of energy from your shoe on to the pedal.

This pedal looks like a good idea, but in fact its finish and body metal is so soft compared to the hardness of the cleats, that within 2 months of purchase, the pedals look like they were chewed by a dog. You get new pedals to go with your new bike, and the pedals look destroyed after 2 months, it’s very sad. And since they look so terrible, they’re impossible to sell. $!40 is a lot to toss. Very disappointed!
