Registration is now open for the USA Cycling Mountain Bike Marathon National Championships. The event is traditionally held during the fourth of July at Breckenridge, Colorado.
This year, a total of 14 national titles will be up for grabs. The MTB Marathon National Championships will also see the men’s and women’s singlespeed national titles being contested for the first time ever.
Last year saw husband and wife Jeremy Horgan Kobelski and Heather Irmiger, both of Team Subaru-Gary Fisher, grab the titles in the elite men’s and women’s national marathon events.
The 750 spots for the race are expected to be sold out as usual, so race organizers have announced that only cyclists for the USA Cycling national championship classes will be allowed to submit their online applications.
Other riders may begin registrations on March 3, 2010. Non-championship cyclists who wish to join in the event shall also be allowed to register online on March 3, and for those who choose to register via snail mail, you can download a printable registration form and waiver which will be available on the same day also.
