POC Spine Vest Back Protector

poc spine vest back protector POC Spine Vest Back Protector

POC recently designed a lightweight body protector for your spine and back that promises to be durable and strong when you get into a tumble or fall. The POC Spine VPD Vest Back Protector is made from a new compound that is specifically designed to absorb shock better than any material used in body armours. This compound is called visco-elastic polymer dough. It works to absorb shock and adapts itself to the force of the impact. This, in turn, will lessen damage inflicted to the rider.

Some riders abhor wearing body armours because they are bulky and not all the time, can truly offer good protection when they take a spill on the road or get into an accident. POC created this body vest to be light yet strong enough to withstand force. The density of the compound will not hinder movement but can still provide needed protection…

Cycling Apparel Is Not All About Spandex Anymore

cycling apparel is not all about spandex anymore Cycling Apparel Is Not All About Spandex Anymore

A cycling shop in New York has been in business for more than two years selling cycling wear that is made out of natural materials, and not spandex.

This shop, called Pedaler Clothing, was started by Trinity Kerr and Virginia Elwood, two friends who got tired of wearing their cycling apparel when they’re out commuting on their bicycles. Specifically, their shop sells sustainable, American-made cycling clothes that don’t look like, well… cycling clothes.

Kerr and Elwood make sure that they only use natural materials in their apparel and create designs that make these clothes comfortable to wear for cyclists, while avoiding the traditional look and feel of common spandex shorts and jerseys. And get this – they even use bamboo on some of their clothes. Kerr says that bamboo makes draining off sweat faster and easier than even cotton.

You can’t have cycling wear without the reflective logos to keep…

A cyclists knows that a head injury is a serious thing because it can be fatal. If not, major head trauma that may result to brain damage. To counter this, a new helmet was invented that mimics the human head and how it works to lessen any injury to the head. The new helmet aims to decrease the impact of rotational injuries that riders may encounter.

The Phillips Head Protection System evolutionized the design for the helmet by adding an anti-rotational synthetic membrane known as SuperSkin. It is scratch resistant and can stretch up to 8 times its size. The gel-like substance is layered over the helmet and is coated inside as well. Similar to POC’s Cortex DH helmet, the goal is to protect the rider from head injuries by copying how your scalp functions against the skull when you experience a blow to the head, tumble or fall. …
