Rocky Mountain Bicycle Festival in August
The Rocky Mountain Bicycle Festival is scheduled for August 7 and 8, 2010 and will be held at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado. The event is now in its 3rd year, beginning as the Rocky Mountain Bicycle Show. Over the years, it has enjoyed an impressive growth and popularity among cycling enthusiasts, which inspired a change in names.
Carol Johnson, the event director, agrees that “calling it a festival better describes what the weekend is all about.” The festival pays tribute to all forms of cycling. You name it, they’ve got it: road, mountain, track, cyclocross, triathlon, recumbent, cruiser, and everything else that has pedals and two wheels.
Fans and pros alike will get to see the featured production and custom-made bikes, components, and accessories, while specialized service companies and non-profit organizations come together to add more value and variety to the event.
However, if you’re thinking that it’s all about serious business at the RMB Festival, you’ll be in for a delightful surprise. This year, the attendees get to enjoy test-riding their dream rides in the Indoor/Outdoor Demo. There will also be seminars, photo exhibits, and a kickoff party at Boulder Indoor Cycling on Friday night. There are also free samples of locally-brewed beer for the adult attendees.
The batch of exhibitors for the RMB Festival are going to be a treat for every pedal pusher attending the event. This year sees the addition of family-friendly attractions like the Bike Rodeo, a Kid’s Art Corner, and various companies that provide youth cycling services. The first-ever RMB Festival Short Subject Film competition will also be featured, as well as stunts and cycling performances by Ripstoke.
If you’re an interested exhibitor, you can visit Rocky Mountain Bicycle Festival to register. Attendees of the festival can get their tickets online, or at local businesses in Denver. You can also contact the event director at carol@rmbfestival if you have any questions.
