Peugeot Bikes Returns in 2010

Peugeot Bikes will make a comeback and start releasing different types of bikes due to their recent partnership with Cycleurope. As you may know, Peugeot has been off the market since 2002, and the 2010 models will release later this year in the Spring. The first release by Peugeot is called the “Collectors” which will consist of four models, a road bike, mountain bike, hybrid and city bike. The colors will come in white/black which is linked back to Peugeot’s success with the Tour de France. The range of Peugeot Bikes will make their first debut at the 2010 Eurobike event. Distribution of the line will be available through Cycleurope’s dealers which is in Europe, Asia, Japan and South America. France will have the bikes available through 450 Velo and Oxygen outlets. Lastly you can purchase one of the bikes through a Peugeot car dealerships.

Will the road bike be availabe for purchase in Canada????? Would love to race a peug again!!!!
Initialy I was excited to find out Peugeot was coming back in the spring with a new road bike but Cycle Europe (the company producing Peugeot bikes under license)is impossible to communicate with! The spring has come and gone and nothing is available yet.I tryed to contact Peugeot directly by Email in English and French several times and no reply.Cycle Europe in California also would not reply to E mails and Cycle Europe headquaters in Varburg Sweeden will not give out their E mail address and I don’t speak Seweedish to call them.Cycle Europe in the UK said they won’t know anything till the fall!! According to Cycle Europe’s press conference Peugeots will not be coming to the USA so Americans will have to buy them online from Europe and they will not be cheap.I think everybody might be better off sitting on they’re check book if this is the way Cycle Europe communicates with the public!
I want one!!!
WOOW!
Just took delivery of the new Peugeot road bike “Edition Collector” here in Lyon France. The price was 999 EUROs. I bought it from a local Peugeot car dealer.
I’ve only had a chance to ride it once on Saturday. While it certainly isn’t in the same category as the top of the line D1 carbon fiber bike launched under the Gitane name it is a nice ride and performs well on the road and climbing too. I didn’t like the leather Brooks seat and handlebar tape and switched these out for some retro BBB black styleribbon tape and a black Sella Italia Max Flite Gel seat. Now it looks much better and in the tradition of the black and white colors of Cycles Peugeot racing team.
i know that gitane[the second tour de france winner-after peugeot bikes the 1st!!!!!]
has grown vastly through entire france and has very good bikes!
the peugeot bikes suffered through the ’80s severe competition from the asian-manufacturers but at 2004 with collaboration with cycle-europe[gitane] they produced exceptional trekking and mtb’s closed behind the peugeot dealers …
I was wondering if Peugeot were going to come back with the “Canyon Express”? That was a great mountain bike with the rear brake located down at the bottom by the chainstays.
I just bought a Peugeot Nomade, can not find anything about that bike.
Is here someone who can give me more info about he Peugeot Nomade?
Thanks so much!
Hi Jake. I have a Peugeot Nomade III that I bought in May 1987. Here’s one exactly like it. http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/FREE_SITE_1/FREE_SITE_2_FINDING.htm
