Andre Greipel is proving himself more than a match for anyone in the 2010 Tour Down Under, as he earns his 2nd consecutive stage win in this year’s Australian tour this Wednesday.

The dominant star of Team HTC-Columbia narrowly beat the rest of the pack by coming into the closing stretch and across the finish line with a frenetic sprint.  This win adds to his chances of securing another Tour Down Under title, the first of which he won back in 2008.

Greipel missed last year’s Tour Down Under when he had to undergo a shoulder surgery after a bad accident, and was out of action for 4 months.

Lance Armstrong, however, said that Greipel still has to face a lot of tough challenges in the later stages, but admitted that the German rider is “showing great form” and is definitely the man to beat in this season’s Australian race. Armstrong…
