Colombian cyclist Mauricio Soler is in a Colombian hospital after colliding head-on with a car. He was returning from a training ride just one block from his house in Ramiriquí, Colombia, when he was unable to slow down in time to avoid colliding with a car. Soler was not seriously injured, but he was taken to a Colombian hospital to be checked out. “I feel a little bitter. Let’s hope everything turns out the way it should,” he said. He suffered serious cuts and scrapes, and will have to take five days off the bike in order to rest up. The driver of the car was taken into custody by police, and may face reckless driving charges.
