Polish time trial champion Maciek Bodnar of team Liquigas’ season will be put on hold for a little while as he received a double collar bone fracture from a crash while training. He was training in Valencia Benicasin, Spain. “I fell near a roundabout and my arm went down on the pavement,” Bodnar says. He has gone to Italy for surgery. “Unfortunately this incident ruins my plans and the team’s plans. But I intend to return to the peloton soon,” he adds. 24-year old Bodnar turned pro with Liquigas in 2008, and won the Polish national time trials this year.
