Olympic pursuit champion Rebecca Romero will be joining the pack in London-Paris 2010. Magnus Backstedt, Swedish former professional cyclist and won Paris-Roubaix as well as a stage of the 1998 Tour de France, will be joining her. The London-Paris 2010 is a “unique Tour de France-style endurance event for amateur and cyclosportive riders” that will be covering 550 kilometers in three days, and a rest day in Paris. The event will start on June 24th of next year, and registration opens on November 30th. “It’s obviously a longer distance than I’m used to but that’s what appeals to me. London-Paris 2010 will be one of my key targets for next year and I’m really looking forward to the challenge,” says Romero.
