Christian Pfannberger Banned from Cycling for Life

Cyclist Christian Pfannberger has been banned from the sport for life for repeated doping offenses, says the Austrian national anti-doping agency. 30-year-old Pfannberger has tested positive for the banned blood booster EPO as he was preparing to start in the Giro d’Italia as part of team Katusha. Pfannberger, a two-time Austrian champion, was also banned between 2004 and 2006 for testing positive for testosterone.
