Bicio GoRide iPhone Bike Mount

With the abundance of iPhone apps made for cycling that you need to leave on to use accordingly, Bicio has just released the GoRide iPhone Bike Mount that is designed for cyclists, allowing you to still have complete access to your iPhone on your rides. As you can see, the Bicio GoRide iPhone Bike Mount eliminates the large hardware so you have a clean setup for your iPhone. GoRide iPhone Bike Mount uses cable ties to attach to your bike through the case, while the case can be used outside of riding. Available in black and weighs 2 ounces and designed for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. Best part about the GoRide is the price, while other iPhone Bike Mounts are a bit expensive, the Bicio GoRide retails for only $29.99.

Want a great iPhone app for tracking a ride get everytrail from iTunes and great news it’s free
Hi,
Well I bought a couple of these because of their clever, low profile design and ability to easily take them on or off. I have used my iPhone for GPS tracking of trips in the past and thought this would be a good way to also just hold my phone which I always take with me anyway everywhere.
First impressions were good on this mount and was being admired by other riders. However, a couple of weeks ago while on my carbon road bike going about 25mph on a somewhat rough city road when my iPhone was ejected right out from the cradle! It skidded some distance, hit a curb and popped a corner open (miraculously, an iPhone Store Genius put it back together for me for free and it fired up just fine!).
Anyway, it is clear to me that the small tab on the cradle just isn’t able to hold the phone sufficiently over this sort of riding. I have written several notes to Bicio about this with no reply whatsoever. So my advice is to give this one a miss until they at least address the retention issue with a new cradle design version – though if my product and customer support experience is typical, the company may not survive that long.
Will this fit a droid incredible?
This mount doesn’t inspire confidence but I believe it’s probably the best of a bad bunch (Massive gap in the market for a decent sturdy iPhone bike mount IMO). Have used mine three times so far without incident but I find myself grabbing the phone when I see a large bump approaching ie. train tracks. Also scared to take it out of the cover as I don’t want to stretch/weaken the plastic. I must say though that this has so far done what it says on the packet so i can’t fault it really! Will see what happens over the next couple of weeks. The stress of worrting about my phone flying out is making me start to think twice about using it.
In Summary….All in all, a mixed review I’m afraid.
what about this?

This has much sturdier casing and a locked mount
I precisely wished to say thanks yet again. I’m not certain the things that I would have achieved in the absence of those tips revealed by you regarding such a topic. It absolutely was a real frustrating matter for me personally, however , viewing the professional tactic you resolved that forced me to cry with joy. Incredible! This blog looks exactly like my old
one! It’s on a entirely different subject but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Outstanding choice of colors!
